2022 Special National Minimum Wage for SWS21 July 2022
On 28 June 2022, the Fair Work Commission issued its annual determination in relation to the Supported Wage System (SWS). The minimum weekly payment has been set at $95.00 effective from the first full pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2022. This increase will apply to modern awards with the SWS clauses, from that date.
For NPA Assessors, this applies to all new SWS Wage Assessment Agreements from 1 July 2022, where a minimum weekly SWS payment applies under the Award.
Award free employees’ minimum weekly payment, which is also $95.00, can be found in the National Minimum Wage Order, and is also effective from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2022.
SWS employers, employees and assessors should ensure Wage Assessment Agreements from 1 July 2022 reflect the new minimum wage ($95.00 per week), if applicable.
