Our performance

Are-able offers a Disability Employment Services (DES) program that is focused on helping Participants find and keep a job in open employment.

One of Are-able's key strengths is our ability to prepare Participants for work and then partner with local employers and services to ensure the best range of opportunities are created for our Participants and local employers. This results in Are-able being one of the leading providers of employment and community services in the regions we operate, helping thousands of people with disability each year to find long-term jobs in open employment.

The strong performance Are-able has achieved is a key factor in the success and growth of our Disability Employment Services to reach more Participants in many different regions across Australia.

About us

Are-able is a not-for-profit, community based organisation.  We have been providing individualised employment services to people with a disability since 1989.  From then, Are-able has grown to become one of the largest community and employment service providers in the areas we operate, employing over 350 people across many different regions in a range of community based services and programs designed to support those with vulnerabilities to reach their potential.

As a result of the different services that Are-able offers, we are able to tailor a program to meet the varying requirements of our Disability Employment Services (DES) Participants.

Are-able also uses its community and enterprise services to help prepare job seekers for employment in the open labour market. Consequently, the transition to searching for and working in open employment is made much more seamless.
