- accessing health and social support services;

Our networks
Family Services Australia’s offers general and specialist mental health Disability Employment Services that enables individuals to achieve measurable life outcomes through person-centred self-directed planning, with a stepped care approach that brokers a range of health, education, training, employment and social care interventions.
We understand the benefits of a providing participants with coordinated support between health professionals, employers, and education/training. Our Community Support Consultants create a micro community for each of our participants, that provide wrap around support services including allied health professionals, social support groups, housing support and complementary government programs.
We connect with our community by regularly:
- Meeting with community and health professionals that may be of benefit to our participants;
- Linking with high schools to enable a smooth transition to the workforce for school leavers;
- Connecting with education providers who specialise in upskilling participants and preparing them for the workforce;
- Co-locating our offices in shared spaces with other community groups and health care providers; and
- Participating in local Chamber of Commerce events, Jobs & Career Expos and Mental Health, Youth, Disability Expos Forums and Events.
We welcome you to contact us to discuss how we can work collaboratively to support participants with vocational opportunities to improve work related skills, language, literacy and numeracy skills, job search skills; formal and informal education; needs for psychological, vocational rehabilitation and/or functional capacity consultations to determine impacts of job design; and to increase their work capacity through appropriate health management plans.
