Applying for the Supported Wage System (SWS) is now easier because of the new online application forms on JobAccess.
If you are an employer or an Australian Government employment service provider, you can apply online for the Supported Wage System through the ‘Online application forms’ available from the JobAccess home page.
The Supported Wage System is a process that allows employers to pay less than the award wage by matching a person's productivity with a fair wage. Eligible people with disability can choose to access a reliable productivity-based wage assessment to determine fair pay for fair work. The Supported Wage System pays for independent assessors to conduct these wage assessments. If the worker is assessed at 80 per cent productivity, they will be paid 80 per cent of the award wage.
The online application method for the Supported Wage System will replace the current paper based application process.
You will need to spend less time completing the application form because some information will be automatically filled out for you. If you are an Australian Government employment service provider, your contact details will be automatically included based on your log in ID. The employee’s name and contact details will also be automatically included based on their job seeker ID.
Step by step instructions to help you complete the online form are also available:
Applictions received by any other method after 2 July 2007 will not be accepted. They will be returned to you for submission through the JobAccess web site.
