On 21 of August 2008 Luxottica, a designer, manufacturer and distributor in the eyewear and eye-care industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Disability Works Australia to create more job opportunities for people with disability.
The Australian Government funds Disability Works Australia, a not-for-profit organisation to deliver the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator Service which provides large Australian employers with access to a single contact point for recruiting people with disability.
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding, Luxottica will fill temporary and permanent vacancies with people referred by Disability Works Australia.
Disability Works Australia have vacancies available across Australia for job seekers who are registered with a Disability Employment Network or Vocational Rehabilitation Service provider.
