The Australian Employers Network on Disability (AEND) has released a new guide for managers that provides advice and information about the employment of people with disability. The Guide titled: “Managers' guide: Disability in the workplace”, includes information about the business benefits of employing people with disability as well as advice for recruiting new team members such as writing position descriptions and conducting interviews.

The Guide also provides information about managing employee performance and development and contains advice about the employer’s responsibility under the Disability Discrimination Act including occupational health and safety and reasonable adjustment. A comprehensive list of further resources to assist managers is included, such as the JobAccess service, the Workplace Modifications Scheme, and the Auslan for Employment program.
