Event registration is now open!

You can now register to hold an event on the International Day of People with Disability. To register your event go to the web site (see related links on this page).

The International Day of People with Disability is held on 3 December every year to recognise the achievements and contributions of people with disability. The day brings together people with disability and the general community and aims to:

  • showcase the skills, abilities, contributions and achievements of people with disability
  • promote a positive image of people with disability
  • involve people with disability and the broader community in activities to celebrate and raise awareness of the day

Hosting an event on the International Day of People with Disability is a great way to promote and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability in our community. Event ideas, suggestions and details to help you plan and hold your event are available on the web site (see related links on this page). There is also a schedule of events available on the web site so you can find out what events will be taking place in your area.

Free promotional products are available to all registered events and can be ordered as part of the event registration. These products will help promote your event and make it even more exciting.

This year products include wristbands, balloons, badges and stickers, as well as new temporary tattoos and stress balls. There are also bandanas for event organisers, which were extremely popular last year.

Also available to order is an A3 poster and an A3 whitespace poster. The A3 whitespace poster has enough space to insert the details of your event, to help you promote it locally.

There are limited quantities of promotional products available, so log on to the web site (see related links) and register your event today.
