One in six— it's more common than you think is the theme for the 2008 Hearing Awareness Week
The Deafness Forum, as the national coordinating body of the week, is organising various events throughout Australia to better educate the community about hearing impairment and ways to protect hearing.
The week will also give an opportunity to the 3.55 million Australians who have a hearing impairment to share their experience, knowledge, needs and aspirations.
