Auslan courses and training

When you employ new staff, the right person for the job might be someone who uses Auslan (Australian Sign Language) to communicate.

Auslan For Employment program

The Auslan For Employment program maximises the ability and independence of new Deaf employees to find work or existing Deaf employees whose continued employment is at risk.  The program also supports strong employment growth and the improved productive performance of enterprises within Australia.

How will the Auslan For Employment program help me?

As an employer, you may be eligible for financial assistance to help with the cost of Auslan interpreting services for new or existing employees who are Deaf.  You may also be eligible to have another staff member who works with a Deaf employee trained in Auslan or for your staff to undertake Deaf awareness training.
