Training and development for you and your staff

Training and development can help you and your staff gain confidence when working with people with disability.

Disability awareness
Disability awareness training provides facts, research, tips for communication and tips for accommodation within the workplace.

Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace e-learning course
About one in five Australian adults will experience some form of common mental health problem in any one year. It is likely therefore that as an employer you will employ someone with a mental health problem reasonably frequently.

Productivity Places Program
The Productivity Places Program provides fully funded training places in skills and occupations employers are seeking. The program is designed to help job seekers secure long term employment and increase the skills of existing workers.

Auslan courses and training
When you employ new staff, the right person for the job might be someone who uses Auslan (Australian Sign Language) to communicate.  Auslan course and training maximise the ability and independence of Deaf employees.

Other training options
There are other training options, including online training, that may assist with training and development for you and your staff.
