Vocational Rehabilitation Services assist people who have a disability, injury or health condition to work independently in the open labour market.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services also directly assist employers to employ a person whose skills and abilities match their job requirements and support the employer and the successful applicant in the new role. Vocational Rehabilitation Services can also assist employees who are already in work but who are experiencing difficulty maintaining employment.

Contacting Vocational Rehabilitation Services

You may choose to contact a local Vocational Rehabilitation Services provider directly for assistance or, if you are a large employer, you may prefer to access services through the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator.

Direct contact

If you would like to contact a local Vocational Rehabilitation Services provider directly for assistance, complete a location or postcode search on the Australian JobSearch web site—see Related links.

If you can’t find a local Vocational Rehabilitation Services provider or have some questions, contact the JobAccess Advisers on 1800 464 800 or by using the Online Enquiry Form:

Access to the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator

If you are a larger employer or a multi-site employer, you might find it difficult to deal with numerous localised employment services when recruiting your staff in bulk. The National Disability Recruitment Coordinator offers a single point of contact for the recruitment of staff with disability. The Coordinator is able to link you with Vocational Rehabilitation Services and help you establish a working relationship with them.
