Book holders

Book holders enable an individual to read a book without having to hold it for themselves.  Book holders are often height and angle adjustable allowing the book to be positioned in the best possible position to allow the individual to read easily and independently (LifeTech Queensland 2008).

Workplace solutions and adjustments:

For some individuals holding a book can be difficult due to physical impairment, fatigue, pain, unsteadiness in the hands and/or reduced grip strength.  Some available book holder options are listed below:

  • floor standing
  • book holders that allow one handed page turning
  • bean filled book holder that adjusts to any surface, with a page holder to keep pages in position
  • flat folding for storage
  • folding adjustable angled easel on legs.
