Working in an environment that is either too hot or too cold can be a challenge for people with temperature sensitivity and can impact on work performance and productivity. Maintaining a comfortable working temperature may seem elusive as some people experience sensitivity to cold, others sensitivity to heat and still others may be affected by both temperature extremes, cold and hot. If the overall workplace temperature is unable to be modified through centralised heating or cooling system, location specific options may need to be considered. This allows for either a specific workstation area to be temperature adjusted through the use of fans or heaters for people to wear clothing designed to assist with temperature control.
