Graphic tablets

Definition:
A graphics tablet is a device that can be connected to the computer to allow the user to hand draw images or graphics.   The graphics tablet consists of:

  • a flat bed surface  which comes in different sizes and is a flat surface on which a person can draw
  • a specialised pen which is used to draw.

A graphics tablet allows the user to personalise documents, photos and emails by adding a hand drawn image or graphic.

There are also talking tactile tablets that can be used with audio files, to allow visually impaired persons to understand graphic information.
