Disability Employment Services

Disability Employment Services is a national network of community and private organisations that provide help and support to employers of people with disability.

Help and support such as professional recruitment advice, provision of on the job training and support to employees with disability and job in jeopardy assistance, is provided at no cost to employers when they wish to employ a job seeker who is registered with a Disability Employment Services Program Provider.

Free help and support

Disability Employment Services offer a range of supports and assistance designed to meet your individual needs, including:

  • professional recruitment advice
  • on the job or off site support to ensure new employees with disability settle into their job
  • help with job design
  • help to develop job descriptions
  • training information and awareness raising activities for you and for co-workers
  • provision of on the job training and support to employees with disability
  • access to work experience placements that will meet the cost of work-related insurance
  • job in jeopardy assistance (if an employee's job is at risk due to issues related to their disability) 
  • intermittent support.
