Workplace assessors carry out an evaluation of a workplace and a person’s individual job requirements or needs. This can include an evaluation of the physical environment, analysis of the actual job and review of injury-prevention strategies. Workplace assessors make recommendations for workplace modifications and adjustments that will accommodate a person’s individual needs and that promote greater health and safety at work. There are a number of different types of workplace assessors who specialise in different areas.
You can find links to different Workplace assessors on the Workplace Adjustment Tool.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations has a National Panel of Assessors which includes organisations approved to conduct Workplace Modifications assessments across Australia.
