Telephone voice amplifiers are designed to elevate the vocal volume of people with temporary or permanent voice impairments and to assist those who rely on an electronic speech aid, voice prosthesis or use oesophageal speech. A telephone voice amplifier allows people with a low volumed voice to control the loudness that the listener hears through a control switch on the handset.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Telephone voice amplifiers may be of assistance to people with soft speech or people who use their voice for extended periods of time within the workplace.
If the phone is regularly used to call someone who is deaf or hard of hearing it might be worthwhile purchasing a phone that has outgoing speech amplification so that the volume of your voice can be increased to help them hear you better.
