Software—accounting

Accounting software is software which records and processes accounting transactions to assist with the production of tasks such as payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.  These programs can be developed within the company themselves or external software packages can be purchased.

Accounting assistance is also available over the Internet, whereby, accounting is conducted through a web application.  Standard accounting data is sent through Internet based accounting tools.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

Specific accounting software is now available to assist people with vision impairment to perform their accounts independently.  Accounting software has been modified to make it compatible with magnification and screen reading software.

Online accounting means that accounts can be recorded wherever the employee is required to work.  This is particularly useful for those individuals who are sometimes required to work from home due to their disability.
