A reading pen is used to assist people who have difficulty with, or are unable to read written text due to reading or learning disabilities. The reading pen is not suitable for people with impaired fine motor control as there are small buttons that require pushing for operation. The pen works by scanning the written text and reading it aloud. It can read a letter, a single word or a whole line. It features the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, containing over 240,000 entries, definitions and hundreds of words and phrases.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Reading is a vital skill required for many jobs. The reader pen enables people to read documents and reports independently, and is especially recommended for people who have difficulty reading due to dyslexia.
