Luggage on wheels

Luggage on wheels can be any form of luggage such as a duffle bag, suitcase or a lap top bag. The bag or suitcase has wheels attached and can be carried or pulled along using handles. Luggage on wheels comes in all shapes and sizes, it can be a small luggage bag, for example an overhead bag for use on a plane or it can be a large suitcase. Most manufacturers use in-line skate wheels as these are more durable.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

Luggage on wheels can assist a person in the workplace who has poor upper limb or lower limb strength who is required to transport items manually over a long distance. Employees who travel often, especially with large loads, will also benefit from using luggage on wheels. Things to consider when purchasing luggage on wheels include:

  • how often it will be used
  • the weight of the load it has to hold
  • the size of the load it has to carry.

Luggage on wheels have handles attached for transport. These may need to be custom made to suit the person or education provided as to the appropriate height to set the handles at. This will ensure the person maintains correct posture during use.
