Lifts

Lifts are mechanical devices that can lift and move heavy items. A wide range of lifts are available to reduce the need for manual handling within a range of industries.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

For people with disability that restricts lifting or carrying, lifts can assist with manual handling tasks.  These pieces of equipment can also benefit other employees and help avoid risk of injury.

When choosing an appropriate lift, consideration needs to be given to the weights that require lifting, the movements required to operate the lift and space available to operate the lift safely.

Lifts should be services regularly to ensure that they are in proper working order.  A lift that is difficult to operate due to poor maintenance can lead to injuries.

A range of lifts are also available to assist with the transfer or movement of individuals with mobility restrictions or their mobility device within buildings or suitably modified vehicles.
