Form processing software reads, interprets and automatically processes a variety of different forms including hand written forms and electronic forms with checkboxes, barcodes, tables and matrixes. It removes the need to manually key-in data from forms, reducing human error and increasing data quality.
Form processing software can collect and store data from forms automatically for later use, send thank you messages to those that have filled out the form, add the respondent to contact lists, mailing lists or include them on reminder notices, and even summarise and email the summary of each form received.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Versions of form processing software are available that allow printed forms or read only forms to be scanned, relevant text added and then printed. For individuals that have difficulty with handwriting especially in the specific fields required by forms or those that are blind or vision impaired and use screen reading software, form processing software can potentially increase independence and productivity within the workplace as well as saving time.
