A range of desks, chairs, workstations and ergonomic office equipment are available that can be adjusted and modified to suit the individual needs of people with disability within an office environment.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Using the correct desk, chair and workstation in the workplace can help individuals maintain the correct posture whilst carrying out their work tasks, helping to prevent or reduce the occurrence of injury.
If a particular desk, chair or workstation specific to a person’s disability is required within the workplace and is not something normally supplied by the employer under their Occupational Safety and Health requirements, consideration can be given to applying for funding assistance through the Employment Assistance Fund.
