Anti-glare filters are designed to reduce the glare produced by computer screens. Anti-radiation filters can help to eliminate the exposure to the radiation emissions produced by the computer.
Workplace adjustments and solutions
Anti-glare and anti-radiation filters can help to relieve eye strain, fatigue and headaches by reducing the glare and radiation produced by the computer screen.
Individuals with a vision impairment involving sensitivity to glare may benefit from using an anti-glare filter. Care needs to be taken to ensure the correct filter is selected as there are many different types, some of which may make it more difficult to read the screen.
The type of computer monitor chosen may also affect the need for a screen filter, with some options including:
Monitors—flat panel
Monitors—plasma
Monitors—large display
