Once car modifications have been recommended to meet a person’s specialised driving needs, it may be necessary for them to receive training on how to use the modifications safely. Car modification training programs are provided by specialist services and will usually involve the input of an occupational therapist.

It is important to ensure that a worker who requires modifications to their work vehicle, is fully supported to use the modifications safely by ensuring they receive the appropriate training from a qualified training instructor.
