Book holders enable a person to read a book without having to hold it for themselves. Book holders are often height and angle adjustable allowing the book to be positioned in the best possible position to allow the individual to read easily and independently. Some available book holder designs include:
- bean filled book holders that adjust to any surface, with a page holder to keep pages in position
- book holders that allow one handed page turning
- flat folding book holders for easy storage
- floor standing book holders
- folding adjustable angled easel style book holders on legs.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
For some people holding a book can be difficult due to physical impairment, fatigue, pain, unsteadiness in the hands and/or reduced grip strength. Within the workplace this can cause some difficulty if individuals have to read manuals or files of information. A book holder may be of assistance in these situations.
